I'm Canadian, can I still earn a Funded Account®?
In short, yes we do offer prop trading for Canadian residents.
Many U.S. brokerage firms do not open Canadian accounts due to regulatory concerns. However, as a proprietary trader with us, you would be trading on a sub-account of a master account and therefore it would be considered a U.S. based account.
Are there countries that cannot participate?
Traders who have citizenship in a country on OFAC's Sanctioned Countries list are unfortunately not eligible to trade with Topstep.
This currently includes:
Albania, The Bahamas, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burma, Cambodia, Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Montenegro, Nicaragua, North Korea, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
Do I need a license to trade with you?
No, you do not need any special licensing to trade with us.
You can find out more information at our Terms of Use Page.
