What Holidays Affect My Trading?

The Forex Market is open every weekday beginning at 4 PM CT on Sunday and ending at 3:45 PM CT on Friday. Since the forex market spans the globe, this includes most major holidays for all pairs besides XAU/USD and XAG/USD*. Below is a helpful graph to explain when the markets are most active throughout the day. Any timeframe where the sessions overlap would have more liquidity. Please note the session times are in GMT.

The only two holidays that the market is officially closed are Christmas Day (December 25th) and New Year's Day (January 1st). TopstepFX will send information to traders about those two holidays as they approach.

While the market is open most every weekday, local holidays can impact the market’s liquidity. Please keep an eye on the holiday's that impact either of the currencies in the pair you are trading.

*XAU/USD and XAG/USD will follow the future's holiday schedule shown here.
