How Are Commissions Calculated in the Funded Account®?

Commissions in the Funded Account are based off of US Dollars/million traded.

You will be charged commissions of $40/million USD traded. This simply represents the actual commission charged ($40) for every $1 million USD traded.

USD Base Currency

This is easy to calculate when the base currency is in USD and is the basis for our Trading Combine. It will be $8 for each Standard Lot Traded. An example; if a trader opens a USD/JPY trade of 300,000 (3 Standard Lots), the commission charged is $12 (300,000 x 40 / 1,000,000) for opening and $12 for closing the trade. In MT4 the total commission is charged right away. The total commission charged on this round turn trade is $24 and that will be charged when you open the trade. This is the same as the Trading Combine.

Alternate Base Currency

The calculation is slightly more complicated when the base currency is something other than USD, such as EUR/USD. This is because an extra step is added to the process when we have to convert the base currency from EUR to USD. For example, if a trader opens a EUR/USD trade of 300,000 when the EUR/USD rate is 1.1750, the commission charged is $14.10 (300,000 x 1.1750 x 40 / 1,000,000). In MT4 the total commission is charged right away. The total commission charged on this round turn trade is $28.20 and that will be charged when you open the trade.

As you can see, the actual commission cost will vary (up and down) as the currency exchange rate between EUR and USD fluctuates.

MT4 will automatically calculate this for you.
